About: Countess Of Chester Hospital / Accident and emergency

visited A&E as a referel from GP. Armed with letter for medical team I was told I would have to still be assessed by A&E. 3hours later - with chest pains and generally feeling unwell was finally given a blood test and heart trace. Taken to medical ward to be further assessed???? After 7 hours and £7 in parking I was told to go home and increase some medication I already take!!!! What is wrong with this place? A&E is filthy and way too small to accomadate everyone. The room they send you to to wait for bloods etc is even worse - again dirty and smelt awful - I choose to wait outside as I couldn't stand the smell. The staff are clearly overworked and there are not enough of them to cater for the amount of people streaming through A&E. I would rather travel miles than go to the countess A & E EVER again.
