I had a total laparoscopic hysterectomy by Prof Cooper and his team and stayed on ward 308. I actually work in the NHS and I thought I would write to say how positive my entire experience was, as all too often we're quick to write when we're complaining, but often forget to do so when things went well, and the care we received is above expectation.
From my arrival until my discharge, all healthcare professionals I encountered were polite, helpful and professional. I would like to thank the nursing staff from the ward, particularly Christina who was my named nurse. I witnessed the nurses working tirelessly for their patients needs and all of them were very caring and considerate. I'd also like to thank all the theatre staff, Julie, Tracey and Dr Cranfield for taking great care of me, and doing a great job of reassuring me.
The FYI doctor on the ward Jordon, was really nice with a great bedside manner, and again it was reassuring to be so well looked after.
In the current climate in healthcare of chronic understaffing and budget cuts, I'd just like to say my entire stay at ward 308 and my surgery was as pleasant an experience as it could have been, and demonstrated the best that NHS Grampian has to offer.
