"Caring staff lacking in compassion treated like..."

About: Royal Lancaster Infirmary / Accident and emergency

Unfortunately I’m giving And E dept at RLI a very low rating due to a bad experience I encountered by a member of staff overseeing me. I always thought NHS staff were supposed to be of caring quality but I most definitely did not see any of this. At the time the dept was fairly quiet, 17 mins waiting time, so couldn’t even use stress as an excuse. I wanted reassurance over a past symptom I’d had a while back wasn’t recurring again. I was asked one question about my symptoms and without examining me was told

I didn’t have it and was asked did I know what this ailment actually was and could I define it for her? I was fuming, I was treated like a primary school child being told off by the teacher. The member of staff told me to stop referring to my accompanying person as she was sick of people doing that, they aren’t ill you are! I walked out at this stage went home and treated myself with painkillers and ibuprofen. On way home they had a cheek to ring me and ask me to return as the assessment form wasn’t complete...er no I’m 20 miles away.
