"don’t waste your time with this lot"

Rang at 20:30 on Easter Sunday after my wife had been experiencing severe back and stomach pains all day. Punching a whole series of ones and twos eventually got me through to a human operator and answering a further series of questions elicited a promise that a GP would call within 2 hours. After 3.5 hours I rang again, this time I was told they were extremely busy but should expect a call within 6 hours or alternatively go to A+E. How are you supposed to make decisions when you’re given such vague and large timescales? So here we are next day, 14 hours later and still no call. Thanks chaps for the terrible service.
