"methodology of appointment booking - nuts!!"

About: Whitehall Medical Practice

I have been trying to get a reasonable non urgent appointment with my GP after having two hospital procedures and also having a bad fall with bad head trauma which needed an ambulance. The purpose of the appointment was to discuss my head injury and also regarding a colonoscopy to remove a very large pre cancerous polyp during which the Professor conducting the procedure identified a hard surface on my prostate,. He mentions this in his report to my GP in a report area which he has used Capitol letters to identify his concern and to recommend a referral be made to a Urologist. I delivered this to the surgery and asked to speak with a doctor to discuss this this and what actions my GP recommended. To date (over two weeks later) no one has had the curtesy to speak with me, hence the appointment request. I have been told that I have to join the lottery if an 8.30am que or a 2.00pm que to see if i’m lucky enough to get a short appointment which I don’t need but have been told that a future appointment of maybe a week cannot be made only the twice daily lottery. I am at a loss ac to what to do other than make a future appointment of about six weeks which is a bit distressing seeing that we ‘maybe’ talking about prostate cancer.
