"Refused access to a booked emergency appointment!"

About: Red Bank Group Practice

It is Easter Sunday I had an emergency appointment booked for 4.30pm due to rash and headache. I arrived at the doctors door at 4.39pm due to the taxi service taking 30mins to arrive. Once I got to the door and rang the buzzer and waited for an answer, upon answering the receptionist took my name and blatantly refused me access! I explained the taxi service took 30mins and her reply was oh well we have a policy if you are 10mins late we won't see you, bye! What a joke.. I really needed to be seen and spent money and time to go to the doctors, for a receptionist to refuse me my booked appointment! It could be something a lot worse than a rash, hence the need for an emergency appointment for this receptionist to send me back home! I swear they think they run the medical practice.

The Out of hours service for GP appointments during the evenings, weekends and bank holidays is run by Rock Health Care from the Star Suite, 2nd Floor at Radcliffe Primary Care Centre so you will need to contact the practice direct regarding your experience/complaint.
