"My two broken ankles."

About: Royal Alexandra Hospital / Accident & Emergency Royal Alexandra Hospital / Trauma & orthopaedics (wards 21-23) Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance

(as the patient),

Tripped on one, a pin and screws were put in next morning. Got home 6days later. Went to the loo with my zimmer and went over on my other ankle breaking it. The staff in ward 23 were excellent and dedicated. The ambulance teams were great as I live 3 stories up and had to be carried. So thank you to all who were involved in my care and transportation.

Dear Crissy,

So sorry to hear of your two unfortunate accidents, but thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience of Ward 23 and the ambulance teams.

I do hope that you are now well on the road to recovery.

I shall pass on your kind comments to the staff involved in your care.

Kind Regards

Heather

Dear Crissy,

Thank you very much for taking the time to share your feedback on CareOpinion. I am so sorry to hear about your horrid luck having two fractures. What a nuisance.

I am however happy to read about the positive care experience you received. It is always lovely to hear that our crews have acted with the professionalism that we would expect. We do spend a lot of time carrying patients down stairs and if we can avoid it, it is always safer to support and walk but in your case this option would be firmly out the window.

I do hope that you are on the full road to recovery and I wish you all the very best.

Thanks again!

Alan
