This is the second time I have had to have this procedure under a general anaesthetic.
All the staff I came into contact with were professional, friendly and caring.
This includes admin as well as medical staff.
I had consultations with the anaesthetist and the consultant who was going to do the hysteroscopy.
Any fears or concerns I had were discussed and any special requests were granted if appropriate.
Having had the first hysteroscopy at the Royal Shrewsbury a few years back which went very well, I was expecting a similar experience, even though I had a different consultant.
I am quite petite and find any examination very painful and just as I was having my anaesthetic I nervously said to the consultant to be gentle with me.
I found this procedure the second time round horrendous.
I am very sore inside and out and haven't stopped bleeding yet, nearly a week afterwards.
I have some bruising on my legs which I didn't expect to find.
I feel upset by the experience and would not have this procedure again.
