I took my elderly mother (aged 88) to the Nuclear Medicine department today for a bone scan.
On arriving at Main Reception an extremely kind gentleman who was a volunteer, helped us with a wheelchair for her and kindly took us to the department, where she had to have an injection. On arriving at the department we were greeted by very kind and courteous staff. My mother was seen exactly at her allocated time and was treated with dignity and respect especially as she is currently in a lot of pain. We were then taken back to the reception by another member of staff. We had to return 3 hours later for the scan. Again we were seen exactly at the allocated time and she was very well cared for. When we got back to reception another extremely kind volunteer stayed with my mother whilst I got the car and then helped me get her safely in.
