Was recently in for major surgery, received excellent care!

Have had a few surgery’s last few years and have gotten to know a few staff. They make me feel safe and see to my every need, making sure I am comfortable and my pain is under control.

Special mention to Staff Nurse Ruth in HDU, she is an amazing nurse and so attentive. Ward 206, Fiona and her staff do their usual amazing job, again special mention to Staff Nurse Jenna, Staff Nurse Katie, Staff Nurse Cheryl  , healthcare support worker Ina ( like meeting an old friend ), and Healthcare support worker Jade.

Also not forgetting - another lovely trio of nurses, my fantastic surgeon Ms Mkinley and her great team, the great stoma Nurses, and also the domestics, Carole the domestic from 207 and Angie from 208. Always cheered me up.

We are so lucky to have a great hospital, and great staff, and can’t thank them enough for the great care I received and supporting me through a difficult time and recovery, am so grateful!

Many thanks for your feedback. I'm so pleased you received such good care and that staff made you feel safe, comfortable and your pain was under control.

The staff you mention individually, Ruth, Fiona, Jenna, Katie, Sheryl, Ina, Jade, Carol and Angie will be delighted with your comments. Our staff all work so hard and it's lovely for them to receive such praise and recognition.

I will ensure that your comments are passed on to all the nurses, domestics and Ms McKinley, they truly are a great team.

They are a great team , I mentioned a trio and that was the lovely Irish girls too , just forgot to put the Irish girls in first post !
