After being in tears constantly the university refered me to the CMHT.Sure this seems like a good thing, but in reality this should not be an option. There should be clear boundaries between my healthcare and my education. I was refered 2 weeks ago, and told I had to stick around in Leeds and be assesed by the CMHT or I might be kicked out of uni. I called to find out what is happening, and I was told I will be contacted after the MDT, and it usually takes a few weeks. It is easter holiday, I am stuck in Leeds, feeling suicidal and anxious and I cant go home to my family!!.
Cornwall is far and costly, and I was told I had to stay in Leeds and engage with mental health services to stay a student. SERIOUSLY GET BOUNDARIES. I hate the place already, it made my mental health worse, and I am just going to fake being ok, to get my freedom back. Your close links with university services, have turned any therapeutic intervention into just another assessment I will be graded on and need to pass.
