"contacting Maternity by phone"

I am a support worker and was trying to contact the maternity department to inform them of her arrival as she was in labour.

I took several attempts to get through to someone as the first time I was cut off before being answered, I tried a number for a coordinator which went to answer phone. I looked up the direct number online for maternity which seems to be disconnected, and then through St marys switchboard trying 2 maternity departments I got to speak to a very helpful member of staff.

my concern is not the staff response but simply that the numbers found online are either unresponsive, disconnected or difficult to find. This could be be distressing for a pregnant mum in labour who is desperate to speak with services and I feel it would be productive for this to be reviewed
