"Exemplary care at Good Hope Hospital"

I arrived at Good Hope hospital, Fothergill Block, Ward 2 for surgery, and was greeted by a young nurse with a beautiful smile, and proved to have a very caring nature, she asked me questions to enable her to fill in forms, and gave me reassurance putting me at ease. Shortly afterwards I was taken down to surgery by a very cheerful, chatty porter also keeping me calm.

Mr Constantine and his team were waiting, Mr Constantine having previously explained everything to me. The anaesthetist was also extremely meticulous with his explanation of the procedure and the right combination of my needs. I was returned to the was and met by, yet again, smiling nursing staff. No matter how busy they were, nothing was too much trouble, and any request was quickly fulfilled. The ward was spotlessly clean, the food very good, attentively preserved and appetising. The friendliness of the staff created a feeling of well being all the time in the ward which I am sure speeded up my recovery.

My thanks go to Mr Constantine, his team, and all nursing staff for making my stay so comfortable. I cannot praise them highly enough.
