I feel I just had to write to praise the care and attention I got while attending the Royal Surrey County hospital.
I had been diagnosed with a Basal Cell Carcinoma on the back of my scalp, which required surgery to remove. this was carried out in the Short Stay Surgical Unit, and the follow up treatment was carried out at the wound clinic in the Maxillo Facial outpatients department (OP11). From the first visit to see the consultant, to the last visit in the outpatients department, I was always greeted with a smile, and all the appointments were on time, and sometimes if I happened to get there early, I was called in straight away. so it is a big thank you to the team who carried out the operation, which involved cutting a rather large piece of scalp away and a rotation to fill the gap, and a skin graft, to the nurses on the Short Stay Surgical Unit who made sure my short stay was made as comfortable as possible, and a very big thank you to all the nurses I saw in the wound clinic, and not forgetting the receptionists of course Keep up the excellent work, it is much appreciated believe me.
