From our booking appointment right through to the last appointment with our midwife at home after the birth of our baby we have been impressed by the standard of care we received from the maternity staff at North Middlesex. The antenatal appointments and scans are all clearly communicated and the hospital appointment system runs well. I was brought in for an induction and the triage staff, consultants and the midwives we were allocated were all amazing. We had some birth preferences that were all honoured by the staff involved (e.g. revealing the sex of our baby ourselves) We were in the labour ward which has large rooms with facilities for partners to stay with you. Our baby was delivered by forceps due to meconium and the urgency and professionalism of staff kept us reassured throughout the birth. We were transferred to the maternity ward for two days post labour. We were regularly visited by registrars, consultants and midwives to keep us informed. After discharge we were visited by our community midwife who continued the same level of care that we received from 2 months pregnant until 10 days post partum. I would highly recommend North Middlesex maternity to anyone and I wouldn't hesitate to give birth there again.
