"The GP was really interested in caring for my son"

About: Lanarkshire Community Services / GP Out of Hours service NHS 24 / NHS 24 (111 service)

(as a parent/guardian),

My son was not well from early Friday morning, several symptoms including vomiting. I thought it would run its course so did all the usual things. Saturday morning and was still really not well and could see his tonsils were swollen with white spots. I phoned NHS 24 at 7. 35am. They dealt with my call quick and easy and advised someone would call me back. Got a call back from a nurse who then said my son would need to be seen. Got an out of hours GP appointment for 10. 45. We went to airdrie health centre and was an excellent service. The reception staff, hcsw and especially the GP were all great. The GP was a lovely caring man and was really interested in caring for my son. When we left the room my son who is only 11 said I really like that doctor he was lovely. From start to finish the service from NHS Lanarkshire was great. Well done and keep up the good work.

Dear awalkerbie15

Thank you for such a wonderful review and I'm delighted you were happy with the service your son received and I hope he is feeling better soon.

It is always nice to give staff such positive feedback and I will ensure your comments are shared with Dr Kirk and the wider team who were involved in your son's care.
