"Acute Care Service"

About: General practices in Lothian Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh at Little France / Acute Medical Unit

(as a service user),

I was sent to the acute services section  by my GP

I got an emergency appointment at Murrayfield Medical Practice and attended the clinic.

The front reception could have been slightly more customer orientated but once in the clinic waiting room, I was given first class care. The nurses and support staff were friendly, helpful and professional and the student nurse definitely knew her stuff.

The care  from the doctor was first class and a variety of tests were carried out and I was asked back for further testing the next day and again the care was brilliant.

Although the timings to be seen were long this should be expected

This is exceptional care - Thank You

Dear IAH

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us following your experiences with your GP and the Acute Medical Unit at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.

I was sorry to read that you felt the reception staff could have been slightly more customer focussed and I will share your feedback with the staff.

I was really pleased to read how you found the rest of the staff to be friendly, professional and helpful.

I do hope you are now feeling better and thank you again for sharing your feedback with us.

With best wishes

Jeannette
