I had an accident and was referred to N.Tyneside A&E Dept. Treated there 100%, then passed to Fracture Clinic. All okay until consultant, it was the 'worst' consultation I have ever experienced. Doctor did not reply to my greeting 'Good Morning', did not introduce themselves and had me outside within 3, yes 3 minutes. They started by dismissing their colleagues findings on my case and told me to return in one month. The consultant told me twice to phone if I decided to not return for the appointment. In fact, after leaving their office I passed my card to another doctor, a most helpful person and explained that I had no intention of returning due to the consultants treatment. I am 81 years old and resent the way I was dismissed without proper consultation. I have had many consultations, operations, etc at N Tyneside. This is my only complaint in all these years. 'Disgusting'.
