"Ready to work but don't know how to go about it"

About: South London And Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust

(as the patient),

I've been doing User Involvement for four years and I feel I'm ready to look for long term employment (in the mental health service) but I haven't a clue how to garner a realistic chance of getting such work! I am in my 40s with a basic standard of academic qualifications.

Dear Hamza

Thank you for your posting and that's great that you are interested in working in mental health after being involved in user involvement.

If you would like to email me directly or phone me to see if we can point you in the direction of someone who could advise you, please contact me at lucy.canning@slam.nhs.uk or phone me on 0203 228 2344 (I am not always in the office but you can leave a message with my secretary and I will call you back).

Kind Regards

Lucy
