"An Excellent Surgery"

About: Wells Park Practice

I've been attending this surgery for around 30 years and have seen it go through many changes. It has at times struggled with finding permanant staff, and to this day it's telephone appointment' system remains a 'work in progress', but, at the time of writing, the surgery seems to be entering a golden age: support staff are courteous and the clinical staff are for the most part nothing less than excellent.

In the interests of balance, I did once have significant problems with accuracy, attention to detail and basic understanding with just one Doctor, but they were temporary staff and have left the practice now, and for perspective, one problem in 30 years is a pretty unbeatable result.

Now the practice is under the stewardship of a new partner & the surgery seems to have renewed it's compassion and humanity and treats it's patients with kindness and respect. The Doctors are not afraid to spend a little more time with you where necessary to perform a thorough examination & explain the things you want to know, despite the awful pressure the NHS is under in all areas. Such attentiveness, such humanity & warmth is a welcome quality at any time, but when you need it the most, it can be the most important quality of all.

I would definitely recommend this practice to anyone who is considering changing to a new group of healthcare professionals.
