(as a relative),

My dad was admitted with a pulmonary embolism on at the beginning March 2012, unfortunately following further tests he was diagnosed with lung cancer and liver metastases and his care is palliative.

He was treated on both Ward 44 and Ward 40 and we found the care and attention to be excellant. I was kept fully informed by the Respiratory Consultants (Dr Bhatia & Dr Aziz) and the Lung Cancer Specialist nurse (Carol Diver).

My dad is home now being treated by the community team.

Thank you for posting these comments. I am so sorry you have received what must be very distressing news for you and your family. In such circumstances, I am sure it is a great help to have the support of competent, caring staff, and I am pleased to see that our staff met your father’s needs so well.
