"Excellent care in maternity unit"

I have made it through a very happy and wonderful first time pregnancy and birth thanks to the wonderful maternity team at the QE hospital. I have had multiple visits for growth scans and every appointment was conducted with the utmost in professionalism and friendliness, meeting different members of the team along the way helped us feel confident about having our birth here. My decisions and opinions have always been respected and the staff have ensured I had every bit of information needed to make these decisions. During our labour we were very well looked after and had continuity of care throughout. My midwife advocated for me so I could have the pool birth I'd been hoping for, I really appreciated her going the extra mile. The encouragement through the labour was excellent, never pushy but very helpful and it kept the atmosphere very relaxed. Our daughter arrived into safe care with living guidance from the midwives and all of us, including dad have been well cared for since delivering by an outstanding team. I have had support with breastfeeding which has ensured a good start for me and my baby and every other service has been kind and supportive, giving us plenty time to adjust to our new life. Thank you to such a wonderful maternity team, my experience has been better than I could ever have imagined. I certainly would recommend this service and team.
