"Exceptional care"

I rarely submit reviews but following a recent in patient stay on the Maternity ward I really felt I must submit a review to highlight the excellent staff and care we received. I was admitted to the ward for induction of labour and following a long 24 hours and what was a difficult delivery I had to spend nearly 3 hours in theatre. Throughout the labour and subsequent time in theatre all staff were fantastic at what was (with hindsight) a bit of a blur and what could have been a very worrying time. Both myself and my husband felt reassured and safe in what was happening and what treatment I needed and received. I was then in hospital for a further 4 days and what could have been a very daunting time, having a newborn alongside my own recovery, we felt very safe and reassured and again all staff were amazing nothing was too much trouble and all the care and support we received meant so much to us. We will not forget how everyone helped us in those first days and the whole team within the unit are a credit to the hospital and we can't praise them highly enough for all that was done for us.
