What I liked
My wife aged 98 fell and broke her hip. Wonford operated and after a fortnight she was transferred to Exmouth Hospital. Her sight was very limited and she suffered from both illusions and delusions; these had been aggravated by the operation. She was a month in Exmouth, getting stronger for nearly three weeks when there was a change in her optimistic attitude and she finally died ten days later. My reason for writing is that my son and I visited daily and for all that time the nurses of all ranks were considerate and helpful in every way; not only to my wife but to other elderly women in the ward. This enormously eased the difficulties of her last few weeks.
"My wife was very well cared for in her declining..."
