The receptionists refused an appointment with a doctor when I had an eye infection. They said well you have antibiotics any doctor will say you are OK.
My eye had increasingly become red and inflamed during the day after 48 hours of antibiotics and I could barely see out of the bad eye. I explained this and the receptionist was incredibly rude. When I did manage to see a doctor , it was actually an allergic reaction that was the problem so I was prescribed something different. The blocking of the appointment could have lead to dangerous damage to my eyesight because of the receptionist's intransigence.
The above might be a function of it being nearly impossible to get through on the ohone and therefore by the time anyone gets through they assume we are all making it up and hypochondriacs and treat us as such, it makes it very unpleaseant to seek any kind of help from this surgery.
