I had an Aortic valve replacement at Southampton University Hospital in February this year and would like to thank all concerned for their professional and caring treatment. Having had a bad experience in an NHS hospital some years ago I am pleased to say that Southampton has restored my faith in the NHS. The wards were clean, the staff supportive and no request was ever too much trouble.
The nursing staff were incredibly busy all the time but still supportive of everyone. A big "thank you" to all.
My husband stayed at Heartbeat House throughout which was marvellous, what a great asset to have across from the hospital. Our thanks to Heartbeat House as well.
