Over the years I have been cared for by the Diabetic Centre at Barnsley Hospital and unfortunately the quality of care has deteriorated and the waiting time for clinics has now become ridiculous with a minimum of 30 minutes (longest to date was well over 1.5 hr). Given the condition service users suffer this is not acceptable when appointments are around meal times (its not rocket science). The back office and nursing staff are always excellent, and very carrying however the so called medical professionals are abysmal; suffering from both T1 diabetes and testosterone issues have never seen a single individual for both issues!! Seriously its the ENDOCRINOLOGY department - never heard of holistic approach!!
Nb: This revise does not include eye screening as they have always been excellent.
