On admission I was diagnosed with heart block and required a pacemaker but I experienced a prolonged stay due to the absence of resources in FVRH and was eventually transferred to Edinburgh Royal Hospital.
I underwent an ultrasound, numerous ECGs, chest x rays and a plethora of blood tests. My blood pressure, pulse etc were constantly monitored. My care was comprehensive and I felt secure about most decisions made about my treatment. I would have appreciated communication regarding the reason for the prescription of drugs rather than being given tablets and injections.
My aftercare from Dr Labinjoh has been outstanding. She is very caring and the consummate professional who went the extra mile for me. She communicates honestly in an acceptable manner.
My only negative comment is regarding the timekeeping of the device clinic. Otherwise I would very highly rate my experience of the care I received.
