"Visit to breast screening clinic"

About: Royal Lancaster Infirmary / Breast surgery

I was referred by my GP to the breast screening clinic and went to my appointment today. I was very anxious about the appointment but the team were amazing. The nurses were extremely friendly and kind and the doctor spoke with me in a very calm and reassuring way. The doctor was a male — I usually prefer to have female doctors, but he was excellent. I felt listened to and respected. Every member of staff who I encountered was kind and friendly, which makes the world of difference when I was feeling anxious about the appointment. Proud and thankful to have the NHS on days like this. Thank you all.
