"Discharged me regardless still not having eaten anything"

About: Lincoln County Hospital / Accident and emergency Lincoln County Hospital / General surgery

(as a service user),

I attended a&e on a Thursday the service wasn’t too bad although there was a bit of wait eventually I got put onto SEAU ward but I wasn’t given a wristband. The surgeons came and saw me quickly and suspected gallstones or pancreatitis so ordered a ultrasound scan for the next morning, still not been given any pain relief I had my scan nobody came to tell me the result and the following day I was moved to Greetwell ward.  The doctor told me I have sludge in my gallbladder and fatty liver, told me to stop eating rubbish and loose some weight (I’ve recently gained weight due to being paralysed two years ago). That afternoon I was still waiting for my discharge papers when my partner came to visit and told the nurse she didn’t understand why I was being sent home when I still hadn’t eaten or drank for at least 4 days at which point I still haven’t had any fluids or pain relief which apart from being in pain with my stomach I suffer with chronic pain anyway hence a huge amount of daily pain relief which I couldn't manage to keep down. They asked to keep me in another night then discharged me regardless still not having eaten anything or drank anything the treatment and attitude of the doctors I felt was horrendous. I spoke to so many people all feeling the same with there treatment and I will be going to the local papers.
