What I liked

I was extremely pleased with the standard of care I received on the new midwifery led birthing unit at Lister Hospital. I found all the staff to be very helpful and caring. We were never left unattended and when I required urgent assistance the response was immediate. We had a fantastic water birth with our daughter arriving into a calm and peaceful environment. Our birthing plan was respected throughout and we were given the opportunity to make informed decisions about our care. All our choices were fully supported by the staff. The unit was very clean and spacious.

Many thanks for your feedback. We're very proud of our new maternity service at the Lister, with the great new facilities matched by changes in the services available for women and their partners. Our aim is to create one of the best maternity units in the region, if not the country and your comments suggest that we are making good strides in achieving that aim. We'll of course pass your kind words on the team, but in the meantime please accept our best wishes for the future to you and your new daughter.
