Unfortunately we had to visit the minor injuries unit at Stratford hospital due to an ankle injury this morning. Arrived at 1145 and were promptly checked in. We saw a nurse practitioner about 10 mins later and after a quick examination we went off for an x-ray. The wait there was less than 10 minutes, then it was back round to minor injuries where they instantly reviewed the x-ray and diagnosed just a severe sprain. From coming in to leaving was around 45 mins. Much speedier than going to a&e, and arguably a better use of NHS resources
