"How this midwife deserves recognition and praise"

Since Gillian was my midwife nothing was ever a hassle. She gave me her mobile number and advised me to call or text ANYTIME I needed her for advice or reassurance. I was booked in for my elective section and it was after this day that I can honestly say I don’t know where I would have been without her. She goes the above and beyond her job and also works more hours than she is probably paid for. She even came to the hospital see me after finishing her own shift the day after my section and got things done for me that weren’t getting done on the ward ie having my drain removed which came after my bladder was cut during surgery! ! I had to wear a catheter for upto 10 days after my csection and Gillian came to the house one day to replace it because it kept over flowing... I cannot put into words how this midwife deserves recognition and praise. If only they were all like that the hospital would be a much nicer place to be after giving birth to your baby, and not feeling nervous to ring the buzzer for anything.
