I was seen on the same day my GP referred me for laser treatment for a retinal tear.. When I had an additional problem I was seen by very caring staff in A & E who rang the on call consultant. He & a lovely nurse & additional consultant came in on a Friday night. They examined me most thoroughly for over an hour. It was decided I needed surgery Saturday morning. All treated me & my husband brilliantly! One of the surgical nurses assured me her role was just to see to my needs. Amazing every one of them. My after car was explained very thoroughly and I was given phone numbers to ring day or night with any questions.
