"Recent cataract procedure"

About: Whipps Cross University Hospital / Ophthalmology

(as a service user),

Was told I would get a follow up appointment three weeks after procedure. I received a letter with an appointment in more than two months.

I was told, when I phoned, that I would have to wait till after the appointment to get back to my normal routine. I swim every day, do I need to wait more than two months after surgery for just a check up?

Dear Simo36

Thank you for taking time to contact us with feedback. We are disappointed to learn of the delays in communicating details of your follow up appointment and how this is impacting your daily swimming routine.

We would like to help and request that you contact our PALS team at Whipps Cross who will liaise with the ophthalmology service on your behalf. Whipps Cross PALS contact telephone number is 0208 535 6438 or email wxpals@bartshealth.nhs.uk

We look for ward to hearing from you soon.

Kind regards

Faith
