About: Royal Alexandra Hospital / Accident & Emergency Royal Alexandra Hospital / General Surgery (wards 19, 20, 24, 26 &29)

(as a service user),

I would like to highlight the excellent care I received in the RAH A& E department and surgical receiving unit. I was brought in after having a major bleed following minor surgery and all the staff who cared for me were very kind, professional and efficient. They ensured I was not only given effective treatment but was kept informed of what was happening in what was the most frightening episode of my life. Can’t thank them enough for putting me back together.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience during your last admission to the RAH. It is lovely to receive such positive feedback which I will pass onto the team.

Staff work hard to deliver patient centred care and this is particularly important while patients feel scared and vulnerable. It is heartening to hear this has been your experience.

I am pleased your experience of the department and the staff was so positive during such a stressful and worrying time.
