What I liked
One of the doctors I saw tried her best despite the horrible administration of the ward.
What could be improved
Everything... My visit for something totally routine took 4 hours (not including the two hours it took me to get there and back). I waited for 1.5 hours to be seen by a doctor. I waited for 1 hour 20 mins to get a prescription filled (and for some insane reason, only the hospital can prescribe the medication I was given...which defeats the whole purpose of the licensed pharmacy system). The area where blood is taken is totally lacking in any kind of privacy - blood is taken in a closet with the door open and a heaving queue of people waiting to give their bloods. In addition the nurse I had would not allow me to lie down when giving blood, so I nearly fainted...and she couldn't even get any blood out (which has never happened to me in 38 years). The reception staff were also rude on each of my visits, often carrying on their conversations about personal matters while a queue formed and waited to be served. I was given conflicting information from the various student doctors I saw as well.
Anything else?
This is by far the worst hospital I've been in and I would highly recommend everyone to stay away if they want to be treated with dignity and respect.
"Horrible hospital lacking any respect for patient..."
