On my recent visit for a colonoscopy in December I was delighted with the response of the staff, from a very helpful receptionist right through to the end of the procedure.
The first thing that had changed since my last colonoscopy 7 years ago was the way you were dressed.
I was covered front and back, with modesty shorts provided, which was a new innovation for me.
The staff that booked me in were very pleasant and helpful, and kindness itself, to the next stage which was the procedure.
The Doctor came to collect me, and just like the other staff was very pleasant, informative and helpful.
During the actual procedure, once more I found all the staff (who had all been introduced to me) kind and thoughtful.
As before I did not have sedation or gas and air as I like to be aware of what is going on. This was my first colonoscopy at Cannock, and my third altogether.
The talk through at the end of the procedure was very informative, and the Doctor was helpfulness itself.
Since this procedure was carried out I have had another one last week, and just as the first one everything was the same with regard to professionalism etc. - excellent.
