After being referred to EPSOM hospital by my GP for chest pains and NOT receiving any practical help, I went to The Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust and was admitted through A&E to the Coronary Care Unit. I was under the care of Dr Allen and his team. I was listened to which was not the case at Epsom and I was advised that angioplasty would be my best option.
During the angioplasty it was seen that I had 95% stenosis of my RCA and a stent was put in place to fix it.
The care and procedure undertaken by Dr Allen and his entire team was exceptional.
The Nursing staff in the Coronary care unit were amazing, both compassionate and professional. In fact even the ancillary staff helped make the whole experience less daunting.
I believe that had it not been for the amazing care and consideration shown by Dr Allen and his team I would have had severe problems.
My thanks once again to an exceptional Surrey & Sussex hospital, its superb consultants, nurses staff and management.
After what can only be described as a poor experience in Epsom. Redhill was like an Oasis when I needed it!
