"Late appointments"

About: Park Street Surgery

After waiting almost 2 weeks for an appointment I arrived in good time and booked in.

30 minutes after my appointment time no one had been called in to the surgery and there wad no notice that the surgery was running late. I approached the receptionist to ask why I hadn't been seen but she offered no explanation and all I was told was 'you're next'. I had another appointment to attend so couldn't wait any longer. I wasn't offered an apology or the option to book another appointment.

Really disappointed with the service and the receptionists attitude.

Hi my name is Pauline Sweeney and I am Practice Manager of Park Street Surgery.

I apologise for your wait and that your appointment and the surgery was running late.

Sometimes there is reasons in the background for the delay on appointments as some patients need more time than the 10 minute slot allocated.

I will at our next practice staff meeting/training ask that the receptionist keep patients informed if they know there is going to be a delay.

If you have any further problems please do not hesitate to contact.

Pauline
