"An appointment for a C.T scan with contrast"

About: Eastbourne District General Hospital / General medicine Royal Victoria Hospital (Folkestone) / General medicine William Harvey Hospital (Ashford) / Nephrology

(as the patient),

I was refused an appointment, because my new address was not updated on my records and I had not had the blood test forms required for me to have my scan. I had not received my appointment either.

When I attended my appointment with my consultant at the Royal Victoria, I was informed the staff we would shortly be moving. I was told I did not need to give them my new address as it would automatically be picked up when I registered with Northiam Doctors Surgery. This did not happen and I did not receive the Blood test forms needed in order for me to have my C.T with contrast.

When I rang the C.T appointments line at William Harvey they told me I had been removed from the list because I had failed to have a blood test before my appointment. They tried to tell me it was my fault, but the people who bought our old house had not received any hospital letters.

They suggested I rung my consultants secretary and get them to sort it out, they did this and arranged for a blood test form to be sent to me. I had a blood test at my local surgery and sent them along with the forms to Eastbourne Hospital, East Sussex. I heard nothing from the appointments department. I rung them they told me they had not received any results and to ring my G.P.

This I did, they had the results and could not work out why the results had not been sent to the C.T. department as well. They asked me to get an email address and they would email the results to them. The C.T. Department refused to give me an email address, so my G.P. Practice rung them, my G.P. practice sent the results to the C.T. people and rung me to assure me they had done it.

2 weeks later I still haven't had an appointment through, I was due a scan in January. I had a partial Nefractomy in November 2017 to remove a growth that turned out to be Cancer. I am well over due now on my 6 month check up because of all the mistakes made. I have done everything asked of me and still do not have an appointment.
