"Disabled car parking charges."

About: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - Queen's Medical Centre Campus / Ear, Nose and Throat

I had occasion to attend QMC eye casualty recently. I am disabled. Fortunately a family member drove me and ran about to get change for the ticket machine.

Why doesn’t the machine accept card payments, especially for disabled parking. Not every disabled driver always has someone to drive them.

Thanks for your feedback. We continue to listen to and act on feedback from patients and can confirm that we are currently in the process of reviewing and exploring a range of options for how we can expand the use of technology in our car parks to allow for more flexible payment methods. This will require significant investment but will be reviewed alongside other investment requests that are considered to be priorities in 2019/20.

With kind regards,

Paula Charlton.
