"Excellent personal care"

Last week my wife gave birth to our second child, both of whom have been born at Darent Valley. The care we have received both times has been excellent and the midwives in particular are very attentive.

The first time, in 2016, my wife had an emergency c section and the support during labour and aftercare we received during a near-week long stay in hospital was first rate. This time the whole care team were excellent in supporting during a difficult pregnancy affected by gestational diabetes, helping out together a birth plan to achieve my wife’s ambition of a VBAC, which was successfully achieved via a water birth. A minor complication was also responded to very quickly so that we could be discharged on time the day after my daughter was born.

I would happily and wholeheartedly recommend Darent Valley to any parent-to-be!
