"We feel better able to communicate with our son"

Myself and my husband were invited to join the Hanen more than words programme late 2018. This course had been discussed by SLT and various other professionals in regards to our son in order to help us better communicate with him as he is autistic. 

We went along to the induction meeting to hear What the course entailed. It was a big commitment, the course ran for 12 weeks and was a mixture of class based learning and home based visits. The two therapist who ran the programme we were on (Christine and Geraldine) were welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. They talked us through the programme, helped us with weekly tasks and took videos of us interacting with out son so we could see the changes made. The course has been very useful for us and our son and we feel better able to communicate with him and encourage him to interact with us more.
