My visit to the Day Surgery unit was obviously not something I was looking forward to. But the level of care, compassion and empathy shown by all the staff I met was such that any discomfort I was feeling was easy to forget. They are a brilliant team, at all levels of expertise, and work hard to make sure everyone visiting is comfortable at all times.

I am responsible for everything to do with facilities, estates and IT. This includes our £50m building programme, food, cleaning, estates, porters, telephones, IT, transport, car parks and anything similar. Also leading our new Patient Experience Programme.
