"Caring, reassuring and professional"

About: Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary / Accident & Emergency

(as a service user),

My teenage son recently experienced a head injury playing football and was taken by school to DGRI A&E.

Nurse Coles glued/paper stitched his head whilst explaining in lay terms to him how to care for the wound and what signs we should look for to be alert to any deterioration.

Nurse Coles was caring, reassuring and professional whilst sharing some light humour which my son clearly appreciated. Sincere thank you - he is recuperating well.
