I felt nervous going in but right from the word go the nursing and theatre staff were kind and took the trouble to explain each step of the process. The surgeon explained the procedure clearly and allowed me time for questions, as did the anaesthetist. 

I was taken into surgery within an hour of arriving and was back in the ward within an hour and a half. As I recovered, the attentive care continued and right up to the minute I left I felt I was in safe hands. All in all, I am very grateful to the unit for every aspect of my care.
