"Maternity ward"

About: Darlington Memorial Hospital / Maternity care

In ward 61 is ridiculous.

You could be in a load of pain & you would still have to wait near an hour or over an hour for pain relief.

Some staff are lovely & show care. The others however have disgusting behaviour & are not at all interested.

I've been in & out this hospital for over 2 weeks being given medication, being sent into a room then being told the bed is needed for someone else so I should just go home as I'll be fine to be sent back in hospital in severe pain.

I don't feel comfortable or welcomed at all here, there's been many times I've cried at the pain & from the thought of coming back here // being sent into hospital because of how much in a bad way in in.

I've been threatened by a doctor here that if I stay here for too long I could be put on emergency section which isn't necessary so I should just go home. I am in so much pain & don't feel like they care here. When I'm home there's nothing I can take which eases the pain apart from the prescription I'm on which isn't working.

They've been trying to send me out of the hospital in pain & overall it's just sad on how much they don't care.

There is staff which is lovely & you can have a good talk to. But very rare when you can have a chat to them or very rare when you do get a really nice midwife.

They refuse to help me out of pain because the baby is fine & they don't care that I'm suffering really badly to a point the pains so strong I end up hyperventilating because I panic & they could have me in tears by snapping at me because I'm panicking.

Definitely wouldn't recommend this hospital to anyone.
