"My Spine Operation"

I underwent surgery at Balborough Hospital in Derbyshire to rectify a spinal defect in February 2012.

The Surgeon who carried out the operation was Mr Abhinay Kamat who explained in detail what my operation would entail and answered any questions that I put to him in simple language.

Immediately after my operation Mr Kamat visited me in the ward and informed me that my operation had been a complete success. I was discharged the day after my operation and throughout my eight week convalescence I received regular physiotherapy treatement at my local hospital in Retford.

I am now walking much better as a result of my operation and the aches and pains following surgery have diminished to such an extent that I am now signed off as fit to resume working in a few days. I have since had a review at Balborough Hospital which was conducted by Mr Kamat who told me that he was satisfied with my progress.

In conclusion I would just like to say a big thank you to Mr Kamat and all of the staff at Balborough Hospital for the very professional and friendly treatment I received.
