"terrible experience with my sick toddler"

About: South Birmingham Urgent Treatment Centre

Awful experience - Will not attend again

Took my sick toddler to walk - in centre and had to wait 2.5hr despite her being distressed and crying most of the time

Was not given priority over other patients who were not distressed and in pain like my child

Spoke to the reception many times but they just told me to wait

When I finally got to speak to the manager she made excuses about wait and criteria for priority

Eventually she told me High temp above 38° is seen as a priority but my child still wasn't seen

To make matters even worse another child WAS given priority before me despite my 180 minute wait!

Finally doctor diagnosed a chest infection and given medicines

Terrible service

Unfair and unclear system of viewing patients

Will be making a formal complaint and will not be visiting again
